Michael arrived in
Australia on Saturday 23 June, fresh from

Packer's wedding to model Erica Baxter on the

Melbourne's Sunday Sun Herald devotes the
cover and a four page article to Michael, with
the byline, "Why Michael Buble's the sexiest
swinger in town."
Michael talks candidly about the making of "Call
Me Irresponsible", his recent relationship with
the press, his quirky and off-beat sense of
humor, his love for girlfriend, British actor
Emily Blunt, what he does in his down time and a
whole raft of other cool things we'd all love to

Michael
Bublé performed
songs from his new album in front of a crowd of
lucky Breakfast Television viewers at the
CHUMCity building Monday. Bublé performed
a handful of songs from Call Me Irresponsible,
which is a collection of original material and
classic jazz standards.
Bublé was animated during the concert despite
the early start, and joked around with BT hosts
Kevin Frankish and Dina Pugliese at points. In a
recent interview the 31-year-old admitted this
album was a tough one to make. "I was nervous
about this record. We sold six million at the
last one and I'll be devastated if this one
doesn't do seven," he said.
Michael’s brand new CD goes #1 in it’s first
week of release! It’s in the top spot in
Holland, Italy, Germany and Singapore! In the
UK, he’s in a close #2 spot behind Artic
Monkeys.
Michael will spend a week in Australia
from June 23 to 30th doing Television and
Radio promotions. Michael has sold over
one million records in Australia, and his
current single, Everything was the #5 most added
song on radio in its first week of release.

According to ContactMusic
Fascinating Facts, Michael's partner, Emily
Blunt hates hearing her attempts at singing,
which feature on boyfriend Michael Bublé's
new album.
The British actress can be heard backing up
the crooner on Me and Mrs Jones - a
track on his new album. The
Canadian singer says, "She nailed it, and yet
every time the song gets to that part, she turns
it (volume) down."
If you would like to hear how good Emily
really is, here is a YouTube video
featuring her singing "Natasha's song" from the
movie "Gideon's Daughter".

According to an article he did for the Montreal
Gazette, Michael recorded this song for Emily's
sake - because she loves it! He hated it at
first and told David Foster it was 'cheesy', but
after listening to it a couple of times on his iPod, he said "Well, I listened about six or
seven times, and, to be really honest with you,
I fell in love with it pretty quickly. I got it
– and I went, “Oh, my God. This is really
gorgeous. This is really kind of sexy and kind
of hip."

BUBLE BABES ALERT! In the newsletter dated 6 April, I gave you
links to two songs I though you may find amusing
- one was Leonard Cohen's version of
"I'm Your Man", which Michael says is "dark
and sexy".
The other was a link to the
funniest version of "You Make Me Feel So
Young" you are EVER going to hear. Firstly,
the link didn't work, but secondly, a wonderful
Buble Babe who writes on the boards under the
name 'Laguna' and is a virtual goldmine
of information, told me it was recorded in a hip
jazz joint in Sydney called The Basement.
She believes it was recorded sometime in 2004.

Well,
our sources had it right! Not only is "Call Me
Irresponsible" going to be one of the numbers
Michael sings on his upcoming CD, it's going to
be the name of the album too!
The
much-anticipated CD is due to be released in
stores on 1 May and will also feature such
standards as "I've Got The World On A String"
and "Me And Mrs Jones".
It's believed the
first single/video to be released from the album
will be the original 'Everything', written to
honor his longtime girlfriend Emily who Michael
says means "everything" to him.

Michael
and long time girlfriend Emily Blunt
looked resplendent as they sashayed up the Red
Carpet hand in hand for the 79th Annual
Academy Awards on Sunday evening.
Emily
wore a strapless, sequinned Calvin Klein
gown with H. Stern jewels while Michael looked
dashing in his usual (Boss?) tux. Although Emily
wasn't nominated for an award, she was there to
present the award in the Best Costume category
with good friend Anne Hathaway.
Red Carpet
presenter Ryan Seacrest quashed any rumors that
the two may be engaged by bluntly questioning
the pair, to which Emily replied, "Thanks for
the pressure!", while Michael tried to think of a
snappy answer.
Canadian radio station CHUM FM are
hosting a special 'Breakfast in Barbados'

get to join Michael and Jann Arden at the famous
Turtle Beach Resort with radio hosts

Michael's off-the-cuff
remark that Tony Bennett was going to win in the
Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album category
at the Grammys came true on Sunday night.
This is the second year Michael has been
nominated for a Grammy and lost out to Tony
Bennett.
When asked backstage if Bublé,
whom Bennett said he had been hanging out with
all day, had any hard feelings, the legendary
crooner said jokingly: "You'd have to ask him.
That's his problem."
In honor of its artists' 105 collective
Grammy nominations, Warner Music Group
held a post-award show party at The Cathedral,
a historical structure in Downtown L.A. that was
built in 1876.
"I wonder how many records did I sell to pay for
this?" joked Michael. "I'm so happy for Tony
Bennett because he's such a class act. That was
the highlight for me."
Michael's
long-time girlfriend Emily Blunt, also
missed out on a BAFTA on the same night
at the London ceremony. She was nominated for
Best Supporting Actress for Gideon's Daughter as
well as the Orange rising star award. She
was pipped at the post by Jennifer Hudson for Dreamgirls and Eva Green, who won the Orange
rising star award.
But she scored on the Red
Carpet in a black lace creation with pale blue
sash by Elie Saab.
10 February 2007
Jann Arden has come to the defence of her friend
Michael Bublé over
his recent Grammy flap.
Arden co-wrote the song 'Lost' with Bublé
on his untitled new album, which hits stores May
1, and has also toured with him three times. She
said he's only human.
"We all make mistakes," said Arden, while in
Toronto this week promoting her own new album
Uncover Me. "Bublé's
a funny guy. He was probably joking around."
7 February 2007

A
spokesman at Warner Music Canada
confirmed that Michael has changed his mind and
will attend the
Grammy Awards
ceremony next week.
The spokesman said Bublé
did not know his schedule when he made the
earlier comments and after speaking with his
management company, he realized he had an
opening on that night.
Michael is up for best traditional pop vocal
album for "Caught in the Act."
31 January 2007
According
to the Canadian press, Grammy nominee Michael
Bublé says he
wants nothing to do with next week's awards
ceremony.
Michael is angry that his category
will not be presented during the live TV
broadcast. "They give away our best traditional
pop award at a dinner before the Grammys, so I
just think that's bullshit. I think it's
absolute crap," Buble, 31, said in an interview
Tuesday with The Canadian Press. "Our category
is selling way too many records to be given away
at a dinner before, so I'm just not going to
show up."
Bublé,
who is up against his idol Tony Bennett,
says he doesn't expect to win anyway.
"Why should I go to the Grammys?" he said.
"Because I'll lose. ... They might as well have
already scratched Tony Bennett's name into the
damn thing. I'm not going."
Buble also
complained about the pre-show hoopla. He said he
sometimes feels "like a dirtbag" when he walks
an awards show red carpet and fans don't
recognize him "just because I'm not in the
tabloids."
"You just get pukey with it," he said. "It's
like, 'Enough. No.' "
So what will he do instead?
"I'm going to stay home and watch the
(Vancouver) Canucks," said Bublé,
who lives in Vancouver with his girlfriend,
Golden Globe-winner Emily Blunt.
Michael Recants Grammy Awards Statements
Michael, who has had the
No. 1 traditional Jazz
album on the Billboard charts for a
record-smashing 78 weeks, released the following
statement through his recording label Reprise
Records:
"I'm extremely honored to have
been nominated for a Grammy in the Best
Traditional Jazz category. I did indeed make my
feelings known that the category should be
broadcast live during the award ceremony. This
category honors the interpreters of some of the
greatest songs ever written. There are millions
of people like me who love and respect this
music.
"I jokingly said that Tony Bennett is going to
win anyway so why should I go? This is not sour
grapes. I worship, love and respect Tony
Bennett. He is my idol. I voted for him and he
deserves to win.
"I mean no offense to the Grammy Awards, the
Grammy nominees or the NARAS organization."
We forgive you, Michael!

When Michael was a boy, he
had aspirations to be a trumpeter, so he pleaded
with his parents to be allowed to take lessons.
But the teacher was less than encouraging and he
quit the trumpet for good after a few sessions.
But Bublé knows the value of a good musical education,
and was enthusiastic as he presented Anne Turner
of Whitehorse, Yukon, with the MusiCan
Teacher of the Year award at the Hard
Rock Cafe in Toronto yesterday.
"I hope people don't think that I'm narcissistic
for saying this, but music to me is hugely
important," Bublé told the gathering. "It's not
a hobby, it's important for a human being, it's
what keeps us alive, so this is not a small
thing. We'll never really be able to tell how
huge an impact this woman has had," he said,
gesturing to Turner. "I think it's wonderful to
give of yourself like that. It's not an easy
thing to do."
A teacher for 23 years, Turner received $10,000
plus a $10,000 donation for the music program at
her school, Vanier Catholic Secondary in
Whitehorse. She'll also get an expenses-paid
trip to the Juno Awards gala on April 1 in
Saskatoon.

Michael Buble's
latest CD, "It's Time" has broken the all time
record for highest number of weeks at No. 1 by
any artist!
The album has spent an incredible 76 weeks in
the No. 1 spot on Billboard's Top Traditional
Jazz Albums Charts.
According to the Nielsen Soundscan charts, which
tracks weekly industry sales in America, both
the Traditional Jazz Album and the Current Jazz
Album charts lists It's Time at an amazing total
of 101 weeks on the charts with sales exceeding
2.2 million to date!
Michael's live concert CD/DVD, "Caught In The
Act" is also re-climbing the charts! Soundscan
reports Caught In The Act at No. 7 on the
Traditional Jazz Charts this week - with a total
of 60 weeks on the charts so far!
13 January 2007
"Oh
God. Thank you so much. This is, whew!" Emily
Blunt gushed as she took the podium to
collect her Golden Globe Award for Best
Supporting Actress in a TV miniseries for
'Gideon's Daughter'. She was also nominated
in the category of Best Supporting Actress in a
Comedy or Musical for 'The Devil Wears Prada'.
Eschewing Prada on the Red Carpet, which she
says makes her look "too pale", she looked
stunning in a vintage body-hugging Hervé
Legere gown, which Blunt said she chose for its
"old Hollywood" style and fantastic fit.
Michael Bublé, who
walked the Golden Globes red carpet with his
girlfriend, complained that he wasn't getting
his fair share of attention.
"Everybody's
congratulating her on her two nominations but
nobody seems to realize that I was nominated as
well: shiniest shoes," he said. "(George)
Clooney is always my biggest competition."
Said Bublé: "Whether
she wins or not, I'm walking home with two
Golden Globes baby."
12 January 2007
Michael's phenomenally
successful 'It's Time" celebrates it 100th week

Top Jazz Album of the Year for 2006 (the
same spot it held at the end of 2005).
The
multi-platinum album CD has sold in excess of 5
million copies in the 2 years since its release.
11 January 2007

Hancock.

teaching.
